Online Therapy in North Carolina & Florida
.
Compassionate, Evidence-Based Online Therapy
If you're an adult navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, mood fluctuations, or significant life transitions, I'm here to help. As a licensed psychologist, I utilize evidence-based practices to create a therapy experience that is not only effective but also tailored to your unique circumstances.
My specialty area is behavioral medicine and health psychology. Health psychology views an individual as whole individual, not simply a mental health problem or a physical concern. Our mental health impacts our physical health, and our physical health impacts our mental health. As a licensed psychologist working in the field of health psychology and behavioral medicine, I help individuals improve both their mental and their physical health by helping clients identify what matters most to them (values-driven care) and what choices they can make that are consistent with those values. Some of the common concerns I treat are:

-
Anxiety and stress
-
Mood Disorders
-
Insomnia
-
Anger and emotional regulation
-
Adjustment to chronic illness
-
Health behavior change (behaviors that lead to improved health and well-being)
What is Online Therapy and
How do I Decide if It's Right for Me?
Online therapy (also called teletherapy or telehealth psychotherapy) allows you to meet with a licensed psychologist through a secure video platform rather than in a traditional office setting. Sessions are conducted in real time and follow the same ethical and clinical standards as in‑person therapy.

Online therapy may be a good fit for you if you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, health‑related concerns, or life transitions and value the flexibility of receiving care from your home or another private location. Many adults find teletherapy especially helpful when balancing work, caregiving, or medical needs.

You may benefit from online therapy if you:
-
Prefer the convenience of remote sessions
-
Feel comfortable communicating via video
-
Want access to specialized care without geographic limitations
-
Are looking for confidential, evidence‑based psychological treatment

Online therapy is not appropriate for everyone. If you are experiencing an immediate mental health emergency or require a higher level of care, in‑person or emergency services may be more appropriate. I’m happy to help you determine whether online therapy is the right option for your needs during an initial consultation.

I provide online psychotherapy to adults residing in North Carolina and Florida, in accordance with state licensure and telehealth regulations.
Concerns I Help Adults With in Online Therapy
I provide online psychotherapy for adults experiencing a range of emotional, psychological, and health‑related concerns. My clinical work is grounded in evidence‑based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Common concerns I help adults address in online therapy include:
-
Anxiety, stress, and chronic worry
-
Depression and mood difficulties
-
Substance use concerns
-
Trauma and adjustment to difficult life experiences
-
Health‑related stress and behavior change
-
Challenges related to professional identity and life transitions

My background in health psychology and more than two decades of experience within the Veterans Health Administration inform a thoughtful, integrated approach to care. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand the emotional, behavioral, and systemic factors that influence mental and physical health and well‑being, and to develop practical strategies that support meaningful, sustainable change.
How Online Therapy Works
Teletherapy with me is focused on building insight, resilience, and practical skills you can use every day. Sessions are delivered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, so you can participate in therapy privately and conveniently from home or work. Our first meeting is primarily focused on getting to know one another, learning more about your concerns, and addressing any questions that you may have. The initial session usually takes 80-90 minutes. Subsequent sessions are usually 50-60 minutes in duration.
Why Work with a Licensed Psychologist?
Working with a licensed psychologist means receiving care that is grounded in extensive doctoral‑level training, clinical experience, and ethical standards. As a psychologist, my work is informed by evidence‑based psychological science and tailored to the unique needs, values, and goals of each individual.

In online therapy, I focus on helping clients build insight, emotional resilience, and practical skills they can use in everyday life. Treatment is collaborative and may draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, depending on what best supports your concerns.
